We will be doing a roll call on each of the LIFESIGNS Team Members every 2 weeks including some upcoming workshops happening soon.

Tax Season is here! Did you get your 1099?!

We’d like to clarify as to why you may have not gotten your 1099 in the mail and hope that this announcement can be effective for all of us.
  • PLEASE NOTE: If you change/update your address on ii (Interpreter Intelligence) that does not mean we, LIFESIGNS, were notified of the change.
  • Always email LIFESIGNS – li*******@**********nc.org that you have moved or changed your address. We will also ask you to fill out a new W9 for tax purposes.
Pssst… LIFESIGNS will be closed this coming Monday 03/31 in honor of Cesar Chavez Day.

LIFESIGNS Team Member: Jannessie Mendez

LIFESIGNS Scheduler, I’ve been with LIFESIGNS for appx. 8months.
 
I graduated in Dec.2023 from CSUN , I have a BA in Deaf Studies
 
I took an ASL class in Community College, I’ve always wanted to learn ASL and had the opportunity to finally do it. I continued with ASL with the intent of becoming an interpreter. Once I transferred to CSUN, I changed my mind and decided on a concentration in Community Services.
 
In 2004 I got my certification as a massage therapist. I did it for some time but decided to go back to school. I am also trained in Krav Maga, so don’t mess!(jk)

Workshop/CEU Opportunity:

  • ASL to English Interpreting: Tips, Hacks, and Development
Topics: Analyze current receptive skill level, Learn about potential barriers to an accurate interpretation and develop new techniques for ASL to English interpreter.
